Turns out no boats in the Flying Headsails Inshore Regatta finished as they did not make the roudning mark by the 3:00 pm deadline but some made it home for the 5:30 finish time.

So it is a new race today. They got off at 11:00 am in light winds.

Light Air Expected To Continue
28 May 2011
Posted May 28th, 2011 @ 1848 PDT by pservos

The race has experienced very light winds of about 5 Knots throughout the day. If this continues overnight then the first over the line finishers will be in at maybe lunch time on Sunday.

BUT things seem to be picking us at sunset with some of the boats now rounding the mark at 9:30 pm.

USUALLY winds will go light overnight, so look to early morning at best for the  finishers unless conditions change.

The Inshore Multihulls Race finished with three boats finishing before the time limit: Cat Sass, Drum, and Geneva.

In Division One Inshore Flying Sails only one boat finished before the time limit of 5:30 pm, that being Surt.

In the Inshore Flying Sails Division Two, four-five boats may have finished, pending issue related to the time limit of 3:00 pm rounding dealine at Pedder Bay.

No vessels in Inshore Flying Sails Division Three or the No Flying Headsails Division finished before the time limit.

Makes for an interesting second race on Sunday. Everyone has a chance to do well and win.
